Vitamalt Classic, manufactured by Banks DIH Limited is top quality and manufactured fully according to Royal UniBrew A/S of Denmark Standards. So says Mr. René Vestergaard, the Royal UniBrew Commercial Director for the Caribbean region during a visit to the Banks Brewery at Thirst Park recently.
Mr. Vestergaard held several meetings with Brewery officials during which he acknowledged the high quality standards attained in the production of Vitamalt through investments in equipment and adherence to Hazards Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP) principles during production
Banks DIH Ltd. has joined other Coca Cola producers in the Caribbean in providing assistance to the people of St. Lucia who were severely affected by hurricane Tomas that caused widespread damage to the island.
A 20-foot container of Tropical Mist Water and Trisco Biscuits was loaded at Banks DIH Ltd. Complex at Thirst Park and shipped to St. Lucia on Tuesday.
Banks DIH Ltd. made a presentation of $600,000 to the Rotary Club of Georgetown Central to assist with the operational cost for its mobile dental health care bus which services schools on the lower East Coast, East Bank West Coast and West Bank Demerara.
Mr. Clifford Reis, Chairman of Banks DIH Ltd. in presenting the cheque to President of the Club Ms.Gail Robinson said that his company was extremely pleased to support the work of the Rotary Club.
Reis commended the Rotarians for providing free dental health care to school aged children for the past 12 years.
Banks DIH Ltd. made a donation of $500,000 to the Guyana Relief Fund for Pakistan in the aftermath of the recent flood that has left an estimated 21 million people affected in the Pakistan.
Banks DIH Ltd. Communications Manager Troy Peters presented a cheque to Chairman of the Guyana Relief Fund for Pakistan Fazeel M. Ferouz during a simple ceremony over weekend.
Peters said his company sympathized with the people of Pakistan and indicated that the donation would assist to bring relief to those in need of assistance./p>

Banks DIH Ltd. hosted a one-day exhibition at Thirst Park in observance of Occupational Safety and Health Month being observed this month under the theme: “OSH Management Systems: A tool for continual Improvement”.
The exhibitors included the Ministry of Labour and Human Services, Help and Shelter, Associated Industries Ltd. (AINLIM), Industrial Safety Supplies Inc., International Pharmaceutical Agency (IPA), and host Banks DIH Ltd.

Monday 23rd May 2011: As part of his much awaited visit to his ancestral home, the US President Barack Obama stepped into his ancestor’s local pub, Ollie Hayes’ bar in Moneygall Co. Offaly, where he was welcomed with a perfect pint of Guinness.
The US President visited the Offaly town, as part of his visit to Ireland, to meet his distant relatives and see the house that they grew up in.

Banks DIH Limited recently signed an agreement with Hyundai Company of South Korea for the purchase of another 1.7 megawatt Generator when installed the total projected cost will be over $1 million (US).

Banks DIH Limited commissioned its US$1million Waste Water Treatment Facility at Caribanks Complex at Public Road, Ruimveldt, Georgetown on June 15, 2011.
His Excellency Dr. Bharrat Jagdeo, President of Guyana unveiled the commemorative plaque to officially open the plant in the presence of Chairman and Managing Director of Banks DIH Limited Mr. Clifford B. Reis and Venecar Franchise General Manager of Coca Cola Mr. Jeremy Faa.
The plant was funded jointly by Banks DIH Limited and the Coca Cola Company.
