Banks DIH Limited’s new Vehicle Workshop was officially opened with the ceremonial
cutting of the ribbon by Mr. Joseph Harmon, M.P., Minister of State in the Office on the
President at its new location at Caribanks (Demerara River Front Property) on Saturday
April 7th, 2018.
Minister Harmon was assisted by Mr. David Patterson, Minister of Public
Infrastructure, Mr. Clifford Reis, Banks DIH Limited Chairman/Managing Director and
Mr. George McDonald, Co-Managing Director/Marketing Director.
Mr. McDonald delivered the feature address while Mr. Harmon gave brief remarks.
Mr. McDonald outlined the Company’s vision for the vehicle workshop and
surrounding facilities in its future development thrust during his address.
Mr. Harmon praised Banks DIH Limited for its continued success over the years and for
being the flagship of innovation and enterprise in the private sector locally.
Mr. Mohamed S. Hussain, Engineering Services Director chaired the proceedings while
Mr. Andrew Carto, Human Resources Director offered prayers.
The ceremony was attended by members of the diplomatic corp., directors and
employees of the Company as well as special invitees who were later taken on a tour of
the Complex.
