Banks DIH Limited will host a Community Outreach Fitness Walk and Mini Health Fair under the theme: “Wellness, Fitness and You” on Saturday at Demerara Park, East Bank Demerara Public Road starting at 07:00 hours.

Residents of the lower East Bank Demerara, Yarrowdam, Meadow Bank, Alexander Village and Ruimveldt are among the areas being targeted as well as employees of the Company.

The programme will get underway at 07:00 hours with a Fitness Walk from Demerara Park to Eccles, E.B.D traffic light junction before returning to Demerara Park.

Banks DIH Limited is pleased to announce its International Organisation of Standardisation (ISO) Certification in Environmental and Safety Management System Standards issued by Lloyd’s Register Quality Assurance Limited (LRQA), as the Company continues its ISO Certification Programme.

The ISO 14001:2004, OHSAS 18001:2007 Quality Management System is applicable to the Manufacturing of carbonated soft drinks in NR-PET bottles, Postmix and Premix in cylinders and wastewater treatment plant.

Banks DIH Limited introduces the Crème Select Ice Cream Lounge, its newest state-of-the-art restaurant on Main Street in time for the festive season.

Crème Select Ice Cream Lounge is named after the Company’s premium ice cream brand “Crème Select” which was developed for the discerning ice cream lover who wants to indulge in an extra special treat. Crème Select is produced at our Thirst Park facilities at a dairy which is ISO 9001, and ISO 22000 certified.

Ninety children participate in Banks DIH/JCI Summer Programme

Banks DIH Limited and JCI Guyana continued their annual collaboration as 90 children were exposed to a six-week Literacy/Skilled based Programme at Banks DIH Sports Club, Thirst Park.

The programme was held under the theme “Be Better-Evolving and Thriving in 2015 and Beyond” and the objectives were to provide opportunities for young children to utilize their time beneficially, increase literacy and creative skills, teach them social grace principle and protocols and empower them with the tool to become better individuals.
