The Inaugural Guinness Caribbean Street Football Challenge

The inaugural Guinness Caribbean Street Football challenge opened Thursday evening at the National Park tarmac.

Five regional teams, Antigua/Barbuda, St. Lucia, St. Vincent and the Grenadines, Trinidad and Tobago and host Guyana are competing in the five-a-side tournament.

The feature address was delivered by Mr. Alfred King, Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sport who represented Sports Minister Dr. Frank Anthony.

Twenty four children who sat the National Grade Six Assessment (NGSA), receive Bursary Awards from Banks DIH Limited

Twenty four children who were successful at the National Grade Six Assessment (NGSA) received Bursary Awards from Banks DIH Limited during a ceremony in their honour Saturday at Thirst Park.

Mr. Andrew Carto, Human Resources Director who delivered the feature address said Banks DIH looked forward to hosting the ceremony every year because the company has an interest in looking for future employees.
