Mr. Clifford Reis, Chairman and Managing Director of Banks DIH Limited has reported that the Group’s third party revenue for the first six months of the financial year has increased by 7.8 percent with the Group recording $14.07 billion compared with $13.05 billion, an increase of $1.02 billion recorded for the corresponding period in 2014.

Banks DIH Limited will host a Community Outreach Fitness Walk and Mini Health Fair under the theme: “Wellness, Fitness and You” on Saturday at Demerara Park, East Bank Demerara Public Road starting at 07:00 hours.
Residents of the lower East Bank Demerara, Yarrowdam, Meadow Bank, Alexander Village and Ruimveldt are among the areas being targeted as well as employees of the Company.
The programme will get underway at 07:00 hours with a Fitness Walk from Demerara Park to Eccles, E.B.D traffic light junction before returning to Demerara Park.

Banks DIH Limited is pleased to announce its International Organisation of Standardisation (ISO) Certification in Environmental and Safety Management System Standards issued by Lloyd’s Register Quality Assurance Limited (LRQA), as the Company continues its ISO Certification Programme.
The ISO 14001:2004, OHSAS 18001:2007 Quality Management System is applicable to the Manufacturing of carbonated soft drinks in NR-PET bottles, Postmix and Premix in cylinders and wastewater treatment plant.
My fellow shareholders, it gives me great pleasure to present my report on the Company’s performance for the period ended 30 September 2014 and to advise on the results achieved for the period under review.
Fellow shareholders, the recently concluded financial year was challenging in many respects but as a result of prudent decision-making and the implementation of cost saving measures, and strict financial controls, we have produced a result which even though down on the previous year’s results, can be considered as acceptable Fellow shareholders, even though the economic data suggests that the global financial situation may be recovering in some areas, uncertainty and fear have now taken their place on the agenda of legitimate concerns which are affecting economic results across the globe and locally. Banks DIH Limited was not exempt from that reality and the effects of the global recession resulting in the financial tsunami which in turn resulted in the virtual collapse of the global financial markets.

Guinness Greatest of the Street players and fans can expect an exciting and action-packed programme in 2015 according to Lee Baptiste, Guinness Brand Manager.
The Community-based Futsal football tournament will also feature for the first time West Demerara and Berbice zone playoffs early next year ahead of the National Championships in May.
The National winners will then travel to Trinidad and Tobago for the Guinness Caribbean Street Football Challenge in June.

Hugh Ross, the world renowned Bodybuilder and Malta Supreme Brand Ambassador has continued his campaign to promote healthy living among children following visits to three schools in Berbice and Georgetown.
Ross, a former Mr. Universe and NABBA Masters Champion visited Berbice High and New Amsterdam Multilateral schools in New Amsterdam and Marian Academy in Georgetown where he interacted with students and teachers and encouraged them to adopt healthy lifestyles.
