Banks DIH Limited launched its limited edition XM Golden Jubilee Special Reserve Rum during a cocktail reception at OMG Restaurant/Arawak Steak House Tuesday evening.
Mr. Carlton Joao, Sales and Marketing Executive in brief remarks said that there is much to celebrate as Guyana commemorates its 50th Anniversary of Independence.
“Our master blenders have developed this limited edition XM Rum for the celebration. Indeed Guyana’s Golden Jubilee is a milestone worthy of celebration as it commemorates our diversity, culture, heritage and resilience over the journey of fifty year,” Mr. Joao said.
He noted that the XM Golden Jubilee Special Reserve Rum is a blend of age rums with the youngest being twenty years old.
Among the special invitees was the Hon. Nicholette Henry, Minister within the Ministry of Education, responsible for Culture Youth and Sport.
The product went on sale Wednesday and is being sold at $240,000 (vat inclusive) per case.
