Banks DIH Limited has purchased eight new trucks valued at close to $60 (G) million to boost its distribution network.

Mr. Shabir Hussein, Building, Transport and Power Generation Executive said that vehicles are currently being branded and will be in operations in a month’s time.

The trucks were purchased in Japan through Southern Sales of Trinidad and Tobago while the bodies were fabricated by SMI Industries in the Twin island Republic.

Mr. Hussein said the vehicles will boost the current fleet in a significant way and ties in with the Company’s capital programme for this year.
