Banks DIH Limited

Delegates attending the Caribbean Water and Waste Water Association (CWWA) Conference hosted by the Guyana Water Inc. (GWI) had a firsthand view of the operations at Banks DIH Limited Waste Water Treatment Plant (WWTP) at Caribanks on Friday.

Guyana is hosting the 26th Annual Conference of the CWWA which has attracted visiting delegates from Barbados, Grenada, Jamaica, Netherlands, Trinidad and Tobago and the United States of America.

Mr. Gavin Todd, Engineering Executive gave a brief history of the WWTP while Mr. Roland Nurse, Technician took the visitors on a guided tour of the facility.

Ms. Leanna Bradshaw, GWI Public Relations Officer said the conference hosted by Guyana for the first time runs from October 16-20 in Georgetown.

The Waste Water Treatment Plant was commissioned in 2009 following a partnership between Banks DIH Limited and the Coca Cola Company.
