Banks DIH Limited has officially launched a new canning line at its Thirst Park complex, capable of producing up to 17,000 cans per hour. The new line forms part of the company's new malt plant, which was commissioned in January 2026, and represents a significant expansion of Bank's DIH's production capacity.
The canning line will support a wide range of the company's beverage brands, including Carbonated Soft Drinks, Banks Beer, GT Beer, Guinness, Shandy, and Malta Supreme, giving Banks DIH greater flexibility to package its products to meet growing consumer demand both locally and across the region.
Speaking at the launch, Matthew Kendall, Brew Master at Banks DIH Limited, said:
"This new canning line is about staying ahead of where our consumers are heading. it gives us the capacity and the flexibility to deliver more of the brands Guyanese love, in the formats they increasingly prefer, without compromising on the quality and consistency Banks DIH is known for."
The investment underscores Banks DIH's continued commitment to modernising its production capabilities and ensuring the company can keep pace with evolving consumer needs, both in the domestic market and for export.
