Mr. Clifford Reis, Banks DIH Limited Chairman/Managing Director paid homage to the Company’s pensioners at the annual Senior Citizens Luncheon held on Sunday February 21st at Thirst Park.

Mr. Reis said Banks DIH Limited owes a debt of gratitude to its retired employees who have made a sterling contribution to the Company which is celebrating its 60th Anniversary this year.

“We are thankful for your contribution, and the Board of Directors has made a decision to raise your pension,” Mr. Reis declared to loud cheers from the attendees.

He said the Company made donations of over $145 million to charity during last year.
Over 600 persons attended the luncheon held under the theme “We Care”.

Apart from the Company’s pensioners, those in attendance included members of the Red Cross Society, Salvation Army, Institute of the Blind, David Rose Centre, Guyana Association for the Visually Impaired and residents of several senior citizens homes including Uncle Eddies, St, Thomas Moore, St, Vincent the Paul’s and Archer’s home.

The attendees were provided with lunches and drinks and hampers.

The day’s activity culminated with a cultural programme.
