Banks DIH Limited presented a Canon photocopier as well as a Canon camera to Suddie Primary School of Essequibo during a special assembly at the school Friday.

Mr. Troy Peters, Communications Manager of the Banks DIH Ltd in presenting the equipment spoke about his company’s active role in boosting the delivery of education countrywide.

“We have been at the forefront of assisting schools across Guyana annually to boost the delivery of education and I am extremely pleased to be here today to present these two pieces of equipment on behalf of the Board, management and staff of Banks DIH, he said.

According to Peters, two schools on the Essequibo Coast, Riverstown Nursery and Huist Dieren Primary recently received donations of $50,000 each from Chairman Mr. Clifford Reis during the Company’s stakeholder s meeting at Airy Hall.

PTA President Ms. Simone Paul expressed gratitude to Banks DIH for the donation stating that the PTA had organized several fund raising activities to purchase a photocopier but had failed to achieve the required financial target.

Ms. Paul said Banks DIH Ltd. Essequibo Branch manager Mr. Munniram Singh who was also present at the ceremony was instrumental in securing the equipment on behalf of the school.

Head teacher Sandra Narine said the gesture was a blessing and she thanked the beverage company for its kind assistance.

“On behalf of the PTA, teachers and students we would like to wish Banks DIH all success in the future and we look forward to working closely with the company on future projects,” Ms. Narine said.

Grade Two pupil Ms. Ambika Singh received the equipment on behalf of the school in the presence of members of the PTA, students, teachers and staff of Banks DIH Ltd.
