Banks DIH Limited has been reaching out to the residents of Region Six (East Berbice/Corentyne) in three “Relationship-building” activities.

Mr. Clifford Reis, Chairman/Managing Director and a management team hosted a Cocktail Reception for Business leaders and key stakeholders at the Berbice Branch at Main Street, New Amsterdam on November 18th.

Invitees included Mr. David Armogan, Region 6 (East Berbice/Corentyne) Regional Chairman and Her Worship the Mayor of New Amsterdam Ms. Winifred Heywood.

In his brief remarks made at the Reception, Mr. Reis said that Banks DIH Limited continues to build on its relationships with key stakeholders including shareholders, customers, suppliers and employees.

“We are in Berbice because we want to hear from you so that we can better understand your needs and look at ways of strengthening our relationship,” he added.

Meanwhile, the atmosphere was festive as hundreds of residents of East Berbice attended the inaugural Banks DIH Limited “Relationship Festival” held on November 25th and 26th on the Corentyne and at Rose Hall/Canje.

The Relationship Festival took the form of an exhibition of the Company’s products, cultural presentations and a children’s play park.

The first event took place on Saturday at Scotsburg Community ground on the Corentyne while the second was held at the Rose Hall/Canje Community Centre ground.

Residents were treated to product sampling of the newly repackaged Tastee Snacks in a variety of flavours, the new addition to the I-CEE brand Mango and Pear and D'aguiars Moscato and Port wines.

The kiddies park included face painting, a bouncy castle and storytelling.
There was also a cultural show featuring the Heat Wave band and leading chutney singer Rajesh Dubraj as well as tassa drumming.
