Banks DIH Limited

Date: June 15th, 2016

Banks DIH Limited will be partnering with the organizers of Saturday’s Aliann Pompey International Invitational Track and Field championships at the Leonora Stadium.

The Meet will be sponsored under the Rainforest Water and Powerade brands as most of the country’s top athletes will compete against international stars at the one-day Classic.

The competition is named in honour of Guyana’s most decorated female athlete Aliann Pompey who won Commonwealth Games Gold and Silver medals and four-time Olympic Games representative.

Pompey was on hand to receive the sponsorship cheque from Banks DIH Limited Brand Manager Clive Pellew during a simple ceremony at Thirst Park.

The former international star expressed appreciation to Banks DIH for sponsoring the meet.

Pellew said Banks DIH is extremely excited to be sponsoring the Meet and urged athletic fans to support the event which starts at 15:00 hours.

The Meet will showcase Guyana’s budding athletic stars as well as a lineup of international runners who are in their final preparation for the Rio Olympics in neighbouring Brazil.

Athletic star Aliann Pompey receives the sponsorship cheque from Brand Manager Clive Pellew while Meet official Mayfield Taylor-Trim and Banks DIH’s Kester Van-Nooten look on.
