The inaugural Guinness Street Football Challenge will take place in Guyana from June 21st -23rd at the National Park arena with six regional teams expected to compete for a top prize of $4,000 (US) and a specialized artificial football pitch in country of the winning team.

This was disclosure was made at the Launch on May 25th at Banks DIH Limited Head Office at Thirst Park attended by Minister of Sport Dr. Frank Anthony, executives of Banks DIH Limited and Guyana’s representative team (Back Circle).

Banks DIH Limited Sales and Marketing Executive Mr. Carlton Joao highlighted plans for the event.

Dr. Anthony lauded Banks DIH Limited and Guinness for organizing the event regarded as a grassroot programme initiated by the local beverage giant four years ago.

The competing countries are Antigua/Barbuda, Haiti, St. Lucia, St. Vincent, Trinidad and Tobago and host Guyana.
